How it works
The application is public before the room is in the paper.
We collect premises licence notices from the councils we cover and put them in a weekday list.
What you do with it
Each row is a new grant or a transfer. You open the council page and read it yourself. You can filter by place and export the list.
We do not score rooms and we do not tell you whether to call. That is your job.
One case, not an average
Shah’s in Reading had a licence dated 12 August 2026. The Reading Chronicle and the operator’s own site announced the opening on 21 August. Nine days. One case. Not a typical lead time, and not a promise the next one will look the same.

Other public lists
On 27 August 2026 we checked two public lists. A Monday openings spreadsheet was about £40 a month. A monthly Excel of announced launches was about £50 a month. Those files have a job. This is the applications from before the announcement.
Coverage
